Vitor Cervi Design & Animation Info
In 2011, my friend Daniel Bruson and I were commissioned by the Brazilian institute Itaú Cultural to create images to be played alongside the musical piece Short Commentaries (Pequenos Comentários in the original title), composed by Tiago de Mello.
Having decided to be as experimental as possible with our process, we travelled to the Atacama desert, where we captured footage and brainstormed under the influence of the landscape and the sometimes hostile environment.
Short Commentaries was then born as part film, part animation. An aesthetic investigation on vastness, paradoxes and consciousness fading.
The Portuguese version can be seen here.
This film wouldn't exist without the help and support of Rafael Nascimento, César Zambelli, Bruno Farneze e Carolina Scalice.
