Escape is a short film about flight at the end of the world, following a lone figure, Mae, as she attempts to outrun an approaching catastrophe.
The past is out of sight. The future is impossible. Run from everything.
Drawing on classic science-fiction motifs, the narrative evokes both the promises and the failures of our civilisation, constructing a minimalist collage of survival, urgency, and collapse.
Created using mixed digital techniques, the film was crafted over several years, blurring the line between 2D and 3D animation.
The sound was composed by Father, who developed the driving pulse of impending doom that sets the pace of the edit, evolving it into a fully realised musical piece alongside the ambient sound design.
